Hi everybody today I will be telling you how to make chips or French fries as the Americans call them but the British call them chips, Chips or French fries are much loved by everyone around the world because there so yummy and can be made in lots of different ways like skinny chips or chunky chips, or even crinkly chips, or you can even have sweet potato chips there also quite easy to make.


Ingredients needed
potato's 400g saltStep 1-Prepare and wash the potatoes.

Step 2-Cut into slices 1 cm thick and 5cm long.

Step 3-Cut the slices into strips 5x1x1cm.

Step 4-Wash well and dry in a cloth.

Step 5- Cook in a frying basket without colour in moderately hot oil (165oC).

Step 6- Drain and place on kitchen paper on trays until required.

Step 7-When required, place in frying basket and cook in hot oil (185oC) until crisp and golden.

Step 8-Drain well, season lightly with salt and serve.

hi everyone today I will be telling you how to make a basic batter mix, This basic batter recipe can be used for a whole variety of sweet and savoury dishes from pancakes and fritters to Yorkshire pudding and toad-in-the-hole. But To achieve a smooth lump-free batter it’s essential to slowly draw the flour into the liquid – if you beat everything together in one go some of the flour will remain in tiny lumps suspended in the batter







The ingredients you will need

100g plain flour1 large egg300ml milk Step 1-Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl and make a well in the centre.Drop the egg into the well and beat with a balloon whisk, gradually drawing some of the flour into the mixture. Step 2-Slowly pour in the milk, whisking all the time and continuing to draw in the flour until you have a smooth batter. It should be the consistency of single cream. Flour (soft)          200g baking powder     1 level tspsalt (optional)      pinch Margarine            125gCaster sugar        125gEggs                    2-3
Step 1- Cream the margarine and sugar in a bowl until soft and fluffy.

Step 2- Slowly add the well-beaten eggs, mixing continuously and beating really well between each addition.
