What are Chia seeds?

Ever wondered what chia seeds are? Well chia seeds come from a dessert plant called salvia hispanica, They are a member of the mint family. Its more common name is "chia", its believed to originate from central America where the seed was a staple in the Aztec diet. Chia seeds has gained attention as a great source of omega-3 fatty acid. They also contain protein and minerals which include iron, calcium, magnesium and zinc. Research shows that using chia seeds as part of a healthy diet may help improve cardiovascular risk factors such as lowering cholesterol and blood pressure.

Best way to eat Chia seeds
Chia seeds can be eaten raw or prepared in a variety of different dishes. Sprinkle ground or whole chia seeds on cereal, rice, yogurt or vegetables. Chia seeds are also very absorbent and develop a gelatinous texture when soaked in water making it easy to mix them into cooked cereal or other dishes.

They help make you feel fuller quicker, They can also help your diet by making you feel full. The reason for this is because they absorb ten times their weight in water. Another health benefit is that Chia seeds are able to reverse inflammation, They can also help regulate cholesterol and lower blood pressure. Chia seeds are also one natures riches high antioxidant foods. Another health benefit of chia seeds are that taking chia seeds can prevent premature skin aging due to inflammation and free radical damage.

How to segment a orange

Hi everyone today I will be telling you how to segment a orange, now you might ask what does segmenting does well it removes all of the bitter white pith, and you can also use this technique to segment too. Oranges are great in salads or desserts, or accompanied with rich meats such as duck.











The Things you will need are
 1 orange  1 sharp paring knife or a small knife.
Step 1-Using your sharp knife, carefully slice off the top and the bottom of the orange.

Step 2- using even downward strokes, slice the skin away from the flesh and get rid of all the rubbish.

Step 3- Next remove any remaining white pith that is left.

Step 4- Lastly cut between the membranes to segment the orange, retaining any juices
