How to make a chicken tikka

hi everyone today I will be telling you how to make a chicken tikka curry,This recipe will make 4 portions.



Ingredients you will need

Chicken, cut for sauté  1x1/2kg
natural yogurt             125ml
grated ginger              1 tsp
ground coriander         1 tsp
ground cumin              1 tsp
chili powder                 1 tsp
clove garlic, crushed and chopped 1
Lemon juice of 1/2 a lemon
tomato puree               50g
onion, finely chopped    50g
oil                               60ml
lemon wedges              4
seasoning

Step 1- Place the chicken pieces into a suitable dish.

Step 2-Mix together the yogurt, seasoning, spices, garlic, lemon juice and tomato puree.

Step 3- Pour this over the chicken, mix well and leave to marinate for at least 3 hours.

Step 4-In a suitable shallow tray,add the chopped onion and half the oil.

Step 5-then gently cook the chicken pieces in moderate oven at 180oC for 20-30 minutes.

Step 6-Baste with the remaining oil.

Step 7-Lastly you can have this curry on a bed of lettuce or with some rice.

Chef's tip

Baste the chicken during grilling so that it does not become too dry.
